If you're looking to complete this side quest and don't mind a little gruesome violence, turns out our guide has you covered.
Updated December 7, 2022 by Quinton O'Connor:Carnal Sins isn't the easiest side quest in The Witcher 3. Not only is it a bit tricky in itself; You can fail miserably easily. You'll still get a reward, but the narrative satisfaction just won't be there for you. We've reworked this one to better keep players away from this unfortunate ending.
THE GAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY
Priscilla griff an
This quest is available after completing Cabaret, which is unlocked after completing the main story quest A Poet Under Pressure. It starts with Geralt talking to Jaskier in the chameleon. A messenger from the local hospital will come in and inform them both that Jaskier's good friend Priscilla has been attacked. The two are taken to the hospital.
Upon arrival, you will find Chief Physician Joachim von Gratz examining Priscilla, who has been the victim of a horrific attack. The doctor will tell you that Priscilla is not the first victim of this type of attack. He will then ask you to go to the morgue to examine the last victim, hoping you can track down this killer.
sewerage
Geralt and the doctor will go through the sewers below to the morgue.Novigrad. You know, Geralt must be spending a lot of time down here.Go deep and go to the location marked on your map.
You will meet some along the wayDrowning and a water witch. They're not too difficult to defeat; Just use your fire-based attacks like Igni and Dragon's Dream when you're having trouble.
Von Gratz will discuss the attacks and state that he believes Priscilla will be fine, but he worries about her singing voice. Eventually, you will reach a staircase to go to the morgue.
The morgue
Once they reach the morgue, Geralt must perform an autopsy. You must search the corpse of the dwarven woodcarver to the northeast. You can go through any of the dialogue options if you like and then give the doctor your verdict. They are interrupted by two people: the coroner,Hubert Rejk, and the Reverend,Nathanael Pastodi.
You can talk to the doctor after you leave, about these two men, but he won't give you much information about either of them, apart from some vague details. But he will mention that Hubert "hasn't changed much" in 30 years, he still looks relatively young compared to him.Curious.
You now have three potential customers:the corpse collector, the site of the woodcarver's death, and the site of Priscilla's attack.
three lanes
The collector's fault
The next clue is the Corpse Collector, so it's advisable to go there first. You can find him in a scene where some corpses are being collected. Talk toEustace the Gatherer, and he gets nervous when you ask him questions. You have to bribe him with 200 crowns or trick him with Axii if you have the second level of Delusion.
If you choose the latter of the two options, you will receive 40 experience points. Towards the end of the conversation he will make a comment about Priscilla and you can hit him. We're not saying you should do it, but you absolutely should.
The Woodcarver's Murder
Then go to the place where the woodcarver was killed to investigate what happened. You can find the marker on your map near Hierarch Square. He knocks on the large wooden doors and finds a dwarf who is a little suspicious of who is knocking. Once he lets you in, you can talk to him about the other dwarf you killed. You won't have much to say to our warlock, but you can do your own research.
Use your Witcher Senses to find a pool of blood and some drag marks and some burned statues. You'll also find a "sermon from a concerned citizen" implying the Church of Eternal Fire.. Find the locked workshop and let the dwarf open it. Here are more things to investigate with your Witcher Sense. After that, you can talk to the dwarf one more time before leaving.
The final location to examine is where Priscilla was attacked.
crime scene
Here you will find a guard who will tell you that there has been another victim.Use your witcher senses to look around the area.Eventually a woman will attack you with some bats. After you win the fight, he will tell you that they were in the area to take down Priscilla's attackers.since the perpetrator usually returns to the scene of the crime.
When you use your witcher senses again, a trace of the smell of formaldehyde becomes visible.Follow him and research along the way to eventually find another "Sermon from a Concerned Citizen". Geralt will mention that the killer appears to have jumped over a wall that even a warlock could not easily scale.
Head back to the coroner who is nearby and speak to him again to learn a few more things. It's important to note that one of those things is that there isa note naming the next victim.

The killer at Vegelbud
Geralt will choose to go straight to the Vegelbud residence. You talk to Ingrid Vegelbud, who tells you about the pyre that burned on the site due to Patricia's doubts about her faith. Unfortunately you will see a really horrible scene where Patricia was tied up and killed.HappilyAt least you got there when the killer left.
Follow him until you meet some guards who think you are the killer. After fighting them off for a while, a scene begins where Ingrid stands up for you and allows you to perform an autopsy on Patricia's body. You will find a note explaining thisVerkrüppelte Kate Sweet Nettieis the next victim.
Nathanial and completing the alternate mission
Dirigete a Crippled Kate'swhether on a quick ride or a long ride. Inside, talk to a man who will tell you that Sweet Nettie is upstairs with an important client.
Find Sweet Nettie and Reverend Nathaniel above. You need to respond quickly to a timed dialog quicktime event. If you choose "Try him, asshole" or any other angry response that follows, you will have to fight him.If you follow this path you will end up killing him and the quest will end shortly after. However, he will not have been able to determine who the real killer is.
For a more complete ending to the quest, be on your best behavior when you speak to the Reverend and he will give you the information you need. During the conversation, select the dialogue option."Simply that way? No formaldehyde?" and then"So who left the letter on Patricia's body?"He will tell you where to find the real killer.
After that you can let him torment Sweet Nettie or, if you have a conscience,Use Axii on him or fight him to get him to leave her alone. If you decide to kill him at this point or with the previous option, you will get100 experience points, training pants, a poker and a diagram for the Ard Skellige Aketon. If you use Axii on it, you will get 40 experience points.

Fight with the katakan
From there, travel to the Novigrad Docks warehouse marked on your map. You'll find the coroner with some formaldehyde. He will admit the crimes and tell you why he did what he did. He took it upon himself to do the will of the Church. Needless to say, a fight breaks out.
Use Quen and Igni whenever possible, and be sure to use your vampire oil. Black blood will also come in handy here. Watch your back and keep hitting when you have a clear shot and it should go down pretty quickly.
Loot the corpse to get the Silver Sword of Deargdeith, a Katakan Mutagen, and a Rubedo Bundle. Go back to talk to Dandelion and Priscilla who is recovering. The full version of "Carnal sins" ends like this.
For finding the real killer you get500 experience points, a blueprint for the assassin's boots, and a smaller Svarog runestone.
If you choose to kill Nathaniel before learning the true culprit's identity, you will not receive these final items or experience points. However, the real killer leaves a note in the morgue explaining who he is and that he's leaving town, so you still know who he is, albeit with less satisfaction.
